Dr Lucy Khofi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the African Centre for Migration & Society (ACMS), University of the Witwatersrand. Her interdisciplinary scholarship bridges public health and medical anthropology, connecting academic research with policy and community practice.
Her work examines how interconnected structural inequalities shape the health, dignity and everyday lives of women, girls and marginalised communities. It sits at the intersection of gender, migration, food insecurity, sexual and reproductive health and rights, climate justice, and health systems.
The Paula Kantor Award, presented by the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), recognises exceptional field research that advances gender equality and the empowerment of women, girls and marginalised communities.
