The African Centre for Migration & Society at the University of the Witwatersrand appointed Sisanda Gqoboka as its Finance Officer in January 2024. Her work experience and skills include financial management, scholarship management, and financial reporting, among others.

Sisanda has completed training in financial reporting and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Economics and Business Management. Previously, she worked at the University of KwaZulu Natal as a Senior Administrative Officer (Finance) as well as the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship Program at the University of Pretoria as an Accounting Officer.
