Darshan Vigneswaran, Ph.D., Coordinator, History of Migration Policy Initiative

Darshan coordinates the ‘immigration control’ section of the Migrant Rights Monitoring Programme. His research interests are in International Relations Theory, the Historical Evolution of the International System, Migration Controls under Apartheid, Contemporary South African Immigration Policy and Policing, and Research Methods.

Jo Vearey has been with the FMSP since 2007. She is a Doctoral Research Fellow in the Health and Migration Initiative at the School of Public Health - Wits. Tesfalem T. Araia, Researcher: Migrant Rights Monitoring Programme

Tesfalem joined FMSP in 2007. He is a monitoring researcher with background in History, Political Science and International Relations. His research interests are migrant rights, advocacy, and immigration policies, and has worked for more than two years in an NGO as practitioner.
